A tiny activist?

I have a few dreams for Lizzie.  Things that I thought about while pregnant.  You know, you think about what you want them to be, stuff like that.  I doesn't matter to me what Lizzie chooses as a career, where she wants to live or with whom she chooses to spend her life.  All I really want is for her to go to an incredible college, know that she can do absolutely anything that she sets her mind to and to always, ALWAYS stand up for the weak and innocent.  If ever she is in a situation where someone is being hurt, made fun of or just treated unfairly, I want it to be her first reaction to help that person and never back down from what she knows to be right.   Well, we're just nine months in to her life and she is already standing up for others.

Here is the story.  Yesterday, while taking Lizzie to Playschool, Cash let himself out of his sunroom.  He ate a diaper, all of Lizzie cookies (you know those flower shaped sugar cookies with the hole in the middle so you could "wear" them on your finger), her cheerios and relieved himself in 7 places.  7 places that I could find, that is.  So, he spent the entire day outside and is no longer allowed to be "free" in the house.  Even in his room, he has to be in his kennel.  Well, he had to be in his kennel.  Cash is certainly not weak or innocent.  Even so, my sweet child has staged a small scale strike to free the one with no voice of his own.  If Cash is not sitting at the gate "talking" with her during meal times, she will make the job of the feeder incredibly difficult.  She will turn around and hold the back of the chair, hit the spoon or spit food out.  But, if Cash is freed, she is the prefect little eater.

I guess Bo will have to build an eco-friendly dream house for us so that Lizzie doesn't return home from the best college in the entire world and burn it down.

p.s.~ She can stand for about 5 seconds all on her own.  Walking by May 3rd may be a stretch, but once she realizes that she can do it, she'll be off to the races.

What wonderful dreams for our Lizzie. I want to be there each time she makes a "statement" for the downtrodden. Of course by the time that starts happening y'all may be trying to feed me and keep me on track.

Let me know if you want me to teach her some of the '60s slogans!

Love, Grandaddy

What a smart girl! She can help me out at my animal shelter when she's older. We'll have chickens, and goats, and a herd of "Doxen"!

You know you have a good soul when you're concerned about the feelings of an animal! Especially Cash. He's a tough one!

Bless her!

Lizzie is so amazing, and she is a product of her mama and daddy! Each day will bring such fun and interesting experiences. I am praying that Cash will learn some social graces so he can come out of exile. Keep pressure on them, Lizzie! He does love her!

Bebe

Lizzie is like a pint size Dog Whisperer. She really does connect with Ellie and Cash. She loves them and they love her!
