Nana's Panties?

Okay, so the title is waaayyyy misleading. I am referring to all of the monogrammed diaper covers that Lizzie has. See photo. I have boxed up the first round of clothes that she can no longer wear. 0-6 months. Some stuff she never wore and I imagine will never fit on any future gigantic baby we have. Some things, like the "miracle blanket", I would rather make a noose out of than try to figure it out. So these things I have set aside. I may try to get into the consignment sale. This is where Lizzie will start preschool (playschool) next week. If you have 15 items that you contribute, you get to come early to shop before the masses. No, I have never, ever been a fan of used things. Especially used things that you put on your body. Unless a themed party and alchohol is involved. Whatever, this deal is THE talk of THE town. So I've gotta go and at least see what is so cool.

So, back to Nana's panties. Do I keep these things forever? I used to throw away almost anything. I have a few boxes filled with priceless memories. Somewhere. But Lizzie's things are different. I can't get rid of the cutest real outfit that she ever wore. (you know, not a onezie) Or even the cutest outfit that she was too big to ever fit in. And especially all of these monogrammed things. So, I am keeping every last bit of it. And one day when Lizzie is old and wrinkly, maybe her grandkids will play with her bloomers. I hope when they are putting them on their baby dolls, they will call them Nana's Panties.

Ohhh....so sweet. Loved your "Nana's panties" story! Sounds like a children's book in the making.

Lizzie's starting school???!!! Let the separation anxiety begin. Love, Aunt Tobe
